WELLINGTON OUTDOORS

    We created Hank and Larry, two talking deer heads to promote Wellington Outdoors' Tink's 69 buck lure. Since we didn't want the traditional hunter in the woods promoting the product, we approached it from a far more humorous and entertaining angle. Rather than the typical talking head spot-how about talking deer heads? And not just any deer, but Hank and Larry-two deer whose demise was actually Tink's 69.
    Wellington liked the idea, and we went into production. That was four years ago, and Hank and Larry's popularity has only grown. Since then, we've created and produced four other spots featuring Hank and Larry, brought to life by the voices of actors Todd Cole and Mike Cole. We also wrote and performed dialogue for the mechanical deer heads of Hank and Larry that Wellington uses in its award-winning booth featured at large hunting shows throughout the country.
    Each spot has its own unique appeal and personality that makes it not just informative, but enjoyable. We feel that every commercial should convey not only something about the product, but the company as well.
