COKE NASCAR PRE-FEATURE ENTERTAINMENT-UNIVERSAL MONSTERS

We shot this Coca-Cola pre-feature entertainment presentation with the NASCAR drivers of the Coca-Cola Racing Family on an 8,000 square foot sound stage inside Silverhammer Studios in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a crew of over thirty-five.
The drivers, Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jarrett, Bill Elliott, Steve Park, Tony Stewart, Bobby Labonte, and Jeff Burton, not only played the classic Universal monsters, but also got to reenact scenes from Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds and Psycho, as well as playing the master himself.
Our art department constructed five major sets from classic Universal horror films, including a dungeon, a science lab, a fog-filled woods, a blazing hot desert complete with pyramids and a full-sized sarcophagus, as well as compiling amazing props and costumes which really helped the drivers get into their roles. Not only did they get into them, but they had fun doing it, and we think it comes across on the screen.
