TRIPLE HORSE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND ARMY SAFETY CAMPAIGN
Atlanta, Georgia - Working in association with Matt Gore, Claudia Sexton, and Rob Motola of Post Modern Editorial and Bill Bauman of the U.S. Army Safety Center, Triple Horse Productions has produced five Public Service Announcements for the U.S. Army's "Drive to Arrive" campaign.
The campaign, which features Sony Nashville recording artists Travis Tritt, Collin Raye, Tammy Cochran, Joe Diffie, and Charlie Robison, is aimed at preventing traffic accidents and fatalities among off-duty military personnel. Using humor to convey these serious messages, the spots focus on the bad driving habits of using cell phones, applying makeup, speeding, and dozing off.
"At a time like this, when our armed forces are doing so much for us," says Karl Horstmann of Triple Horse Productions, "we are honored to be involved in a project that encourages their health and safety."
Triple Horse used the new Sony HDW-F900 24P HD camera while shooting on location in Nashville, Atlanta, Fort Rucker, and Fort McPherson. "I knew Karl was perfect for this project," said Matt Gore, president of Postmodern. "He was the only director in this area who had enough experience with the Sony 24P camera and Karl and his crew are known for their expertise." Speaking of the HD format Horstmann said, "This project afforded us another opportunity to see again just how viable HD 24P is for theatrical release."
The completed spots, which also feature music from the artists involved, will be shown as pre-feature entertainment in over 160 armed forces theaters around the world.
