TURNER NETWORK TELEVISION'S NAZI HUNTERS

    This project demonstrates our ability to tell a story in the limited space, time, and budget of an open. Karl Horstmann was brought in by TNT to direct this lead-in to the Nazi Hunter documentary narrated by Ben Kingsley because of its enormous creative and visual challenges. We strove for realism and accuracy as we staged reenactments to tell quickly the story of the hunt for and capture of Nazi war criminals.
    Transforming the square in Marietta into a Nazi stronghold for the all-night shoot caused quite a stir, and before long a crowd had gathered to watch the filming of such sensitive and provocative subject matter. With the help of wardrobe, props, and set design, Horstmann and Turner Studio's Senior Designer, Pat McNeely, created a frightening atmosphere in which good stalks evil and people responded to it-both on set and on screen.
