COKE NASCAR DRIVE-IN THEATER SPOT

    Working with Mike Tremble of Todd A/O and Bea Perez of Coke, we shot this pre-feature entertainment spot at the Belmont Drive-in near Charlotte, North Carolina, with 35 crew members, 10 NASCAR drivers, one drive-in theater, two sets, and 100 extras in just 5 hours.
    For this project our art department not only restored and dressed the Belmont Drive-in set, but also constructed an exterior facade to lengthen and widen the existing concession stand. And because the drivers' schedules couldn't be altered, we also duplicated part of the drive-in, including grass, gavel, and speaker system, in a nearby warehouse when an unexpected thunderstorm blew in.
    Set in a drive-in movie theater, the piece features all 10 members of the Coca-Cola Racing Family arriving and getting out of one car-a Coca-Cola NASCAR-and going to the concession stand for snacks and a refreshing Coke.
    Getting out of the single Coke NASCAR at the theater were Dale Jarrett, Bill Elliott, Steve Park, Tony Stewart, Bobby Labonte, Jeff Burton, Michael Waltrip, Kyle Petty, John Andretti, and Ricky Rudd.
