TRIPLE HORSE PRODUCTIONS AQUIRES NEW DOLLIES AND CRANE
Atlanta, Georgia - In its efforts to continually increase efficiency and artistry in image acquisition, Triple Horse Productions has purchased four new pieces of equipment: three dollies and a crane. Each of these new tools makes possible a wide variety of moves and shots that facilitate a full range of storytelling possibilities.
"We knew it was time to buy when we saw how often we were renting them," says John Hembree of Triple Horse. "But this wasn't just about economics. For us it's also about convenience and efficiency-both for our clients and for our films."
Joining the Triple Horse arsenal are two Filmair dollies, the Squirrel and the Western. The Squirrel is a lightweight skateboard style dolly that facilitates smooth, intimate tracking shots, while the Western enables equipment to be moved around exteriors quickly and efficiently-even when the terrain is rough.
In addition, the Western functions as a support base for the Fischer 10, another dolly which Triple Horse also acquired because of its remarkable maneuverability and smooth, accurate camera movements and boom capability. Not only does the Fischer work well on tight sets, but with Triple Horse's straight and curved track almost any tracking shot is possible. (page 2)
