TRIPLE
HORSE HELPS COKE NASCAR DRIVE-IN TO THEATERS
Atlanta, Georgia -
With a little help from team Triple Horse, the NASCAR
drivers of the Coca-Cola Racing Family are driving into
theaters this summer. But don't be surprised if they all
get out of the same car.
This pre-feature entertainment spot sped into production
back in May at the Belmont Drive-in near Charlotte, North
Carolina, with 35 crew members, 10 NASCAR drivers, one
drive-in theater, two sets, 100 extras, in 5 hours with
1 unexpected rainstorm.
"Getting a large group of
athletes or celebrities together for a spot always leaves
us with no second chances," says Mike Tremble of
Todd A/O. "Without sacrificing the creative, Triple
Horse has consistently provided us with the flexibility
and resources to roll with the numerous changes to our
projects on 'shoot-day.'"
Set in a drive-in movie theater, the piece features all
10 members of the Coca-Cola Racing Family arriving and
getting out of one car-a Coca-Cola NASCAR-and going to
the concession stand for snacks and a refreshing Coke.
Getting out of the single Coke
NASCAR at the theater were Dale Jarrett, Bill Elliott,
Steve Park, Tony Stewart, Bobby Labonte, Jeff Burton,
Michael Waltrip, Kyle Petty, John Andretti, and Ricky
Rudd.
Karl Horstmann, director of the spot, has this to say,
"Our creative challenge in working with all ten drivers
from the Coca-Cola Racing Family was to help them feel
relaxed and comfortable enough on set so they could do
what they normally do when they're together-cut-up."
